lyrics

Somebody, pinch me, I can't wake up,
It's hard to breathe, the body is numb,
Dusk in my eyes.

I sleep paralysed.
All hope was left to die
In the rays of the setting sun.
Now it's dark in my heart.

I haven't drunk, but I am not really sober,
Seeking a way out of this dream world.
It is filled with gloomy thoughts and cheerless ghosts.
Every breath here is like a poison,

Which gets deep inside
Destroying the mind.

I sleep paralysed.
All hope was left to die
In the rays of the setting sun.
Now it's dark in my heart.

My eyes are closed, but I've never seen so clear.
The real world seems so beautiful from here,
But I look at it through a crack in the closet,
Afraid of the phantom monster to get closer.

It's hard to breathe, the body is numb,
Please, somebody, pinch me, I can't wake up,
Dusk in my eyes.

I sleep paralysed.
All hope was left to die
In the rays of the setting sun.
Now it's dark in my heart.

After a slight moment of relief, it started talking to me again,

“Such a nice move,
So shameless and rude.
Did you really think I am a fool?
You're a crook!

You promised to love me,
To cherish, to look after me,
But instead you just betrayed me
And left me alone to rot in oblivion.

This is so sad,
'Cause you were my best friend,
Who dared to spit in my face.
So watch now how the true king of depression dances...
On your grave!
On your dirty grave!

Instead of taking my hand, you just spat in my face.
So watch now how the true king of depression dances!
On your grave!
On your, on your dirty grave!

But wait... Do you really think I want to be a burden,
Which you'll carry through your life complaining about a cruel fate?
Not to see the light as if I shouldn't have been born?
Nothing would be worse than being alone.

Always be a reason for bitter tears?
Stand shyly aside so no one can see us?
Be as quiet as the grave as if keeping a dark secret?
No, I don't! So listen here!

I would rather walk on green grass with my bare feet,
Feeling warm sunbeams and slight breeze on my shiny skin.
I wish I could smell a forest after summer rain
Or look at the stars, lying by an evening lake.

I would love if you could take me as I am,
Not judging me too harshly, pushing me away.
Then I would go with you together to the very end,
Not arguing, but hand in hand.

Then even the sky wouldn't be the limit,
The heat of the sun wouldn't burn our wings.
All the seven seas would be up to our knees
And a fair wind would always blow in our journey.

As strange as it may sound like,
I want you to both stay and go away,
But it's up to you to decide,
It's either now or never…”

My eyes are still closed, but I've never seen so clear.
The real world has always been here,
But I looked at it as if being frozen with fear,
Listening to the voice at the other side of the mirror.

It tried to wake me up this morning, warning anxiously,
It could be just a dream in a dream.

I sleep paralysed.
All hope was left to die
In the rays of the setting sun.
Now it's dark in my heart.

I couldn't stay and reach out my hand,
I couldn't turn my back and go away.
I was there alone.

Please, somebody, pinch me, I can't wake up,
It's hard to breathe, the body is numb,
Dusk in my eyes.
